Representative Services
Automotive Representatives Europe provides a local sales office for its clients to serve as a base for managing existing business and for developing new business. The great benefit of this for our clients is that they gain all of the benefits of having a local presence in Europe without the cost and complexity of capital investment and direct employment. We also have the advantage of already being established with a large number of OEMs and first tiers throughout Europe and are ready to start as soon as the contract is signed. In addition, if required, we can provide and manage a European Sales Operation with local offices in Germany, France and Italy through our network of associates who are based in these countries. We can also help provide ongoing business development throughout the world through links with partner representative companies in key automotive markets.

Consultation Services
A client may wish to understand the potential market in Europe for their products before they make a decision to enter and in these cases we can provide a market research report to include:
- Market size and structure
- Analysis of potential customers and competitors
- Route to Market Strategy options, including competitor acquisition
In the latter case we can also initiate discrete negotiations at an appropriate level within the acquisition target company if required.

Rob Whiston founded Automotive Representatives Europe Ltd in 2000 following a period as a Director of a London based automotive industry consultancy.
Rob was previously with Breed Technologies Inc. (now Key Safety Systems, Inc.) where he was Manager Business Development - Europe. There he helped establish Breed's European Sales team and was directly responsible for the sale and program management of the first airbag system for OE fitment to a Russian car.
Rob also has specific technical expertise in system engineering, integration and management. He served a 7 year apprenticeship with Lucas Aerospace Flight Controls Division and then held positions of Designer, Sales Manager and Market Development Manager-USA. As Sales Manager, he helped to secure orders for all of the flight controls on Airbus A320, which was one of the largest orders ever won by Lucas Industries. He then transferred to Lucas Automotive as Sales Manager of Lucas Body Electronics where he helped to quadruple sales of black box electronics and displays in 5 years. Rob holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering. |
